Third time's the charm...?

So, I'm definitely not new to the blogosphere - I actually have a mildly successful blog over at i solemnly swear where I read and review all things books. I actually had a book blog a few years before that called Happy Readings but that didn't go very far. I was still in school - not so easy to work, go to school, read and blog about it. I've actually taken a hiatus from the book review world altogether - which is where needlework comes in!

I was feeling the pressure to review like a machine and on my hiatus I wanted some kind of low-pressure creative outlet. I decided to self-teach and taught myself the beginnings of knitting and very recently crochet, too. Through all of this yarn-based soul searching, I started to realize how much I missed blogging after being away from iss and decided I wanted to share my new found love for crafting with the internet world!

Other than sharing and documenting cool things I come across and try to make (which will include knitting and crochet projects, fun DIY projects, easy recipes, my story writing, etc.), I plan on talking a lot about understanding recipes and patterns from a beginner's point of view. More specifically, I plan to thoroughly explain any pattern or recipe I find, use and am successful in creating (with full credit to the source, of course!) that might not be as easy to follow just by looking at the pattern/recipe itself. I know how hard it was for me (and sometimes still is) to read a pattern made up almost entirely of incoherent letters and numbers. Allow me to be of service to you in all your deciphering needs!

I've worked on a dozen or so knitting and crochet projects and a grand total of one easy-peasy recipe which I plan on posting about in the near future along with the myriad of things I plan to try to create soon. Stay tuned - it's gonna be a lot of fun!
